The Sorrento coast offers another spectacular route, with the harbour and little town of Sorrento in the middle. Not far from Sorrento there is the port of Castellammare di Stabia, the best departure point for Ercolano and Pompei. The route of the Gulf of Naples and Sorrento caost is a short one, about 95 nautical miles. You can start your bareboat sail from our charter base on Procida and sail towards the charming island of Ischia with its Aragonese Castle and Epomeo mountain, Casamicciola harbour, Sant'Angelo habour. From here you can sail towards Capri, and then on to Sorrento and Castellammare di Stabia, following the unique Vesuvio profile. Then you can sail towards Castel dell'Ovo, in the Gulf of Naples and you can moor in the Borgo Marinaro harbour. From here you can reach on foot the most attractive places of Naples' city: Mergellina seafront, Plebiscito Square with the Royal Palace, Maschio Angioino and Borgo S. Lucia. From here you can sail back to our charter base on Procida and look at the fascinating Posillipo coast, with the Virgilian park and its Gaiola rock banks - very large -(marked by a South Cardinal Buoy!), Nisida, Pozzuoli, Baia, Capo Miseno. A charming tour which leads you back to our charter base on Procida.
