The planning phase for the 2026 sailing summer is now in full swing. Charter companies are continuing their boat preparation schedules—shipyard work, antifouling, and general maintenance—while clients are once again starting to dream of the sun, the sea, and the many destinations to be reached next summer, strictly by sailing boat.
What will be the most popular destinations for summer 2026?
In Italy we are surrounded by the most beautiful places, and fortunately we truly have the “problem” of choosing: Sardinia, Sicily, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, the Campanian Islands, the Pontine Islands, the Aeolian Islands, and so much more. We all know this—Italy is beautiful from north to south. And it’s always difficult to rank destinations. In fact, in my opinion, it wouldn’t even be fair.
Which charter base will departures take place from?
Once the destination has been chosen, the next step is to decide on the charter base. Our charter base is the island of Procida, right in the heart of the Gulf of Naples. From here, many destinations are easily reachable, all depending on the time available. That’s why, from our Procida base, you can choose between WEEKEND, LONG WEEKEND, ONE WEEK, or TWO WEEKS charters, with or without a skipper.
Where will sailing holidays be spent next summer 2026?
The weekend option allows you to easily visit Capri, Ischia, and Procida, or Amalfi, Sorrento, and Positano. However, my favorite weekend sailing route will always be Ischia, Ventotene, and Procida.
If you have a full week to spend sailing, I can’t think of anything more beautiful than heading toward Ponza and Palmarola. You’ll dive into the unique beauty of untouched landscapes, vivid colors, and crystal-clear waters. You can stay at anchor as long as you like, never getting bored, and changing bays continuously. Ponza and Palmarola offer breathtaking views and uniquely evocative scenery.
If you’re among the lucky ones who can charter for two consecutive weeks, then the recommendation is to sail toward the Aeolian Islands. From Procida, it’s about a 20-hour sail to reach the nearest island. Magnificent Stromboli will welcome you, announced by its crackling lapilli, visible at night from many miles away, keeping you company and guiding your course. Once you reach Stromboli, moving between the islands is very easy: short distances and all anchorages are easily accessible, just paying attention to seabeds that can suddenly drop into significant depths. From Panarea to Salina, sailing between Lipari and Vulcano—and if the weather is clearly favorable—you can even reach Alicudi, then seek shelter again toward Filicudi, which certainly deserves a stop. Before you know it, the two weeks have flown by. There’s absolutely no time to be bored. With seven islands of such beauty, the very least is to dedicate two weeks—they all deserve it.
An alternative to the Aeolian Islands, also ideal for a two-week charter, is the Cilento coast. White sandy beaches and charming villages waiting to be explored, small towns overlooking the sea, easy and uncrowded anchorages, as well as well-equipped marinas such as Marina di Camerota, Acciaroli, and Maratea.
So, let’s start charting our 2026 course! ⛵
